Renee Von Eschen was born on February 21, 1941 in Minneapolis, Minnesota to parents Anthony Patnode and Ann Marie Patnode. She passed away peacefully on August 3, 2017 in Brookshire, TX after an eight year battle with vascular dementia.

She was a wonderful mother and homemaker. Renee was a jack-of-all-trades, an accomplished gardener, cook, seamstress, knitter, and artist. She produced numerous needlepoint work, quilts, and all types of other knitted creations.

Renee Von Eschen was born on February 21, 1941 in Minneapolis, Minnesota to parents Anthony Patnode and Ann Marie Patnode. She passed away peacefully on August 3, 2017 in Brookshire, TX after an eight year battle with vascular dementia.

She was a wonderful mother and homemaker. Renee was a jack-of-all-trades, an accomplished gardener, cook, seamstress, knitter, and artist. She produced numerous needlepoint work, quilts, and all types of other knitted creations.

Renee graduated from Patrick Henry High School, class of 1959 in Minneapolis, and graduated from Beauty College in May of 1960. Not only was she a devoted mother, wife and homemaker, but she also worked as a hairdresser, receptionist. She was a pastry cook for the Klein School District food service for twenty years.

She was an original member of Hopewood Hills Homemakers Group from 1970-1978, President of the Lisle Newcomers in Illinois from 1979-1982. Renee was also active in the Oak Creek Village Women's Club, and Garden Club. When she happily retired, she traveled extensively throughout the United States, and spent many happy hours with her grandchildren.

Renee and her loving husband Robert Von Eschen recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on June 17th, 2017.
She is preceded in death by parents Anthony Patnode and Anne Marie Patnode.

She is survived by her loving husband Robert "Bob"; daughter Heidi, son Kevin (wife Jennifer); brother Richard A. Patnode (wife Joan) of Minneapolis, sister Carol Coe (husband Larry) of Zimmerman Minnesota; four grandchildren; Riley, Peyton, Parker, Paige, and also several nieces and nephews who she loved very much.

The family would also like to give thanks to the Brookshire Residence and Rehab for their kindness and care in her final five and half years.
